Sports Express is widely known for its energetic camps and informative clinics. We try to offer a wide variety of sessions that are geared to different skill levels and to various topics. A lot of the camps are offered several times a year. All of our camps are staffed with professional trainers who have a vast amount of volleyball experience, both in coaching and in running camps. Registration is easy. Just use our website to submit a reservation. Our list changes constantly so be sure to look at the youth calendar of events often to see when the various activities will be taking place.

Here is a list of camps that have been offered in the past and will most likely be offered in the future.


Express Training - our most popular program. Geared to those kids who do not play club ball. A group of players spend 4 hours a week with a coach and assistant, learning all aspects of the game. This program is offered in the spring, summer, fall and a shortened session in the winter. For grades 5-9.


Intro to Volleyball Classes - we start them young. Using light-weight balls and a low net, instruction is focused on the very basics of volleyball for our youngest age group. We have classes for kindergarten-3rd grade players. This class is offered several times during the year.


Thanksgiving Camp - obviously offered during the time people are on Thanksgiving break, the short camp tries to give a quick overview into different skills used in volleyball. For 3rd through 8th graders.


Christmas Camp - similar to the Thanksgiving camp, this 5 hour session will focus on basic volleyball skills. The camp is during Christmas break, either before or shortly after Christmas. Also for 3rd through 8th graders.


Youth Coaches Clinic - geared for CYO beginning coaches, this series of 4 clinics cover four topics: Skill Development, Practice Management, Drills, and Offensive Systems. The clinics are on Sundays near the beginning of CYO volleyball season.


Speed and Explosiveness Camp - taking place on our sand courts in the summer, this camp lasts 45 minutes to an hour 2 days a week.  Expect to improve your conditioning and become stronger and more explosive as you are drilled in the sand.  This is geared to club kids and players getting ready to play for their jr high/high school.


Defensive Camp - designed to train liberos and back row players into being better players, this specialized camp works only on defense. Individual techniques, including floor skills are covered in this three day, nine-hour camp. This camp is held in late July and is for 7th -12th grade players.


Tryout Preparation Camp - the goal of this camp is to get each player a lot of organized touches on the ball leading into their tryout season.  A large portion of your school tryout will deal with your ability to pass, set, serve, and hit.  We've designed this camp to mimic what you might see at your school tryout as far as skills evaluations and we've done it in a way that gives you feedback (good or bad).  The camp is for 7th-9th grade girls who expect to try out for their school team.


Skill Development Series - Throughout the fall, we offer skill clinics on Sunday afternoons for players to get extra touches on the ball before or after their season is played.  Each clinic will focus on a specific skill such as passing, setting, serving, or attacking.  You can sign up for one clinic or for a lot. Each clinic is designed for a certain age group and will cover only ONE skill.
