Greg Ulland's 5 Skill Camp 2011
Incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th Grade Girls

     

The Jr high Skills camp is exactly what it implies, lots of skill work and reps for those players trying out for fall teams.  Many schools do not offer volleyball until the 7th grade which means those players are usually behind in their skill development.  At this camp Coach Ulland will use short lectures describing proper techniques for serving, passing, hitting, blocking, and serving.  This is followed by demonstrations by our high school and college helpers and a few players in attendance.  Then we break out on to the court for drills and more individual skill work.  You will see a 1:8 coaching ratio at this camp.  This is not a beginner camp but we do see new players at this camp each year.  We try to make camp move faster by building in games and challenges but the over riding goal is to teach skills and form a solid volleyball base.  Minor scrimmaging will also take place but is not the focus for this week.

Please submit the form below if you are SURE that you can attend the camp.  We are not requiring payment with your registration this year.  You should bring your check for $90 (made payable to Sports Express) to the 1st day of camp.   "No shows" will have their names added to our "no activities" list preventing you from registering for future Sports Express activities.
