$50/hr for 1or 2 players, $60/hr for 3 players, and $75/hr for 4 or more players (team).
Learn basic or advanced skills from any of our qualified, experienced trainers. Instruction is given for elementary, junior high, high school, or adult players. Lessons are scheduled by the hour through the instructors. Please fill out the form above and we will forward your information on to the appropriate instructor. The instructors will reserve the court time based on your needs and the availability of courts. During January and February court space is extremely limited but we expect to have plenty of space for summer lessons.

Jeni Case - Jeni played her high school volleyball at Seton High School where her team won the State Championship 3 times. She went on to play at Thomas More College where she was a 3-time All-American player as well as the Communiplex College Sports Woman of the Year in 1994. Jeni ranks 2nd in NCAA history for career digs in college (pre-Libero). Jeni ran the Sports Express VBC from 1996 - 2001 where more than 1/2 of our Sports Express teams qualified for USA Nationals as well as every one of Jeni's teams. She is currently the Head Coach at Ursuline Academy.
Amanda Schuler - Amanda is the Head Coach at Kings High School and Club Director and coach o Blast Volleyball Club. Amanda has been Conference Coach of the Year 5 times in high school and has taken Junior Olympic teams to nationals. She is currently a manager at Sports Express. Amanda played in college on scholarship as an outside hitter at Brescia College in Kentucky. She played her high school volleyball at Highlands HS.
Lisa Schaad - Lisa played her high school volleyball as a starter for 4 years at Lebanon HS. After high school she played on scholarship at Western Kentucky University. Lisa was named Team Captain as a senior and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration in 1996. Lisa has coached JO volleyball for 7 years. 4 of her last 5 teams have finished 5th at the USA Nationals in the Open level. Lisa is currently the Varsity Assistant at Ursuline Academy and a CAP Level II volleyball trainer at Sports Express.
Katie Holly - Katie played her high school volleyball as a setter at Turpin HS on varsity for 4 years. She played club ball for River City and Cincy Classics qualifying for Nationals 3 years. She then moved on to Division II Lincoln Memorial University on a Athletic Scholarship. At LMU Katie was a 4 year starting setter and broke the school records in assists in a year and assists in a career. Katie is going on her 3rd year as the assistant Varsity coach at Kings High School. She has coached for Sports Express Blast for 2 years with her 14 Open team in 2005 qualifying for USA Nationals. Katie plans on continuing her education in August to get a Masters in Kinesiology and Exercise Science while also getting her teaching certificate.
Cheryl Korfhagen - Cheryl played her high school volleyball for Glen Este before moving on to Northern Kentucky University. During her playing career at NKU her team won their conference title and Cheryl was named All-Conference. Cheryl is the head varsity coach at Glen Este and has been in that position for 9 years. She has been involved in youth volleyball as a coach at Glen Este Middle school, St Veronica and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Milford. Currently Cheryl runs an intramural volleyball program at Glen Este Middle School for the sixth grade girls as she helps build a strong feeder program for her high school.
Mike Seibert - Former coach at Norwood High School and Ursuline Academy. Lifetime 325-72 varsity record. State Champion coach 1993, State Runner-up coach, 1995. Two-time Cincinnati Enquirer and Cincinnati Post Coach of the Year. Mike currently is the Varsity Assistant at Lakota West High School.
Maria Pongonis
- Maria is an outside hitter from McNicholas High School. She played club ball for both Sports Express and Cincy Classics before accepting a full-ride scholarship to Ohio State. Maria spent one year at OSU and then transferred to the University of Cincinnati. During her time at UC she was named All Big East and ended up ranked 9th all-time for total kills, accomplishing that in only 3 years of play. In 2006 Maria was named as the Communiplex College Sports Woman of the year for our region and graduated with a BA in Sports Biomechanics. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy and remains active in volleyball as a coach and player.Barbara Utendorf - Barbara is CAP Level 1 and CAP Level 2 Certified by USA Volleyball, and also certified as a VCS (Volleyball Conditioning Specialist), currently pursuing CAP Level 3 Certification from USA Volleyball. She has coached Junior Olympic teams for several years at varying age groups from 14-18 and has also coached High School for several years. Barbara was awarded the District Coach Appreciation Award in 2003 and awarded as COACH OF THE YEAR in the CHL in 2004.
Karen Miranda - Karen was an All Conference setter for Div. I Illinois State University and helped lead her team to the first ever NCAA Regional win in 1992, finishing with a season record of 30-3. Karen has been an Assistant Coach at University of Tennessee and Georgia Tech as well as a camp instructor at Illinois, Notre Dame, St. Louis University, and Washington University in St. Lewis. Karen has also coached high school and club teams in Missouri and Georgia.
Kristen Rust - Kristen has just returned home after playing at Florida State University a middle and outside hitter. Kristen was a middle hitter for McAuley High School in Cincinnati where she was an All-City and All-GCL player. Kristen played club ball for the Sports Express VBC and was a National qualifier each year.
Amy Doran - Amy was 3 year Varsity player at Ursuline Academy as an all-around player. She was named team captain as a senior. She also played club ball for Sports Express VBC for 9 years and her teams qualified for Nationals all but 2 of those years. Amy continued her career at Miami University as a Libero and she graduated with a degree in Psychology. Amy has assisted with numerous camps and clinics and currently teaches preschool and instructs at Sports Express.
Buck McCoart - Buck played men's club volleyball at Miami University. While at Miami, he coached the women's club team for two years which included a National Championship in 2005. After graduating, Buck spent two years as a varsity assistant coach at St. Ursula Academy. He also coached the Lakota East boys varsity and took the team to the program's first state tournament with a semi-final finish. Buck will be assisting Jenny Fette at Thomas More College in 2007.
Susan Lupidi - Susan will be a senior in the fall at University of Kentucky. She was a 4-year starter for Lakota East High School and was named 1st Team All-GMC for her junior and senior seasons. At UK, Susan plays Libero. She was named to the All Tournament Team at Nationals where her team finished 2nd in her freshman season. Susan has been playing volleyball since her start at St. Susanna grade school and is considered one of the best defensive specialists to come through Sports Express.
