5th Grade Spring Training Team Rosters      

   Express Training Home 

The 5th grade age division is a non-tryout age group.  We will hold an evaluation day on Thursday, March 13th from 4:30-6:30 to confirm all the players and to begin to split the players into groups.  Players should bring their check ($275 made payable to Sports Express) to the evaluation day.  Any players not present will be removed from the group and the next player on the waiting list will be added.   If there is no way you can make it to the evaluation day please call John Paul or Lisa at 398-2400 and we can process your credit card over the phone and hold your spot.  Practices will begin on Tuesday March 18th at 4:40-6:30 and will include individual and team concepts with scrimmage play being built in as we proceed.   Your 5th grade trainers are accomplished coaches who have bought in to our mission of making better volleyball players outside the JO and school season.  Sports Express is lucky to have them as a part of this activity.

Coach Katie Holly is the Varsty Assistant at Kings High School and coach of the Sports Express U15 National team.  Katie was a setter in college and still plays USA Volleyball today.  She is a manager and private instructor at Sports Express.  Katie will be assisted by Liane Rousseau, a senior DS at MND.

Coach Lynne Morris has coached at every level of youth volleyball including Head Varsity Coach at McAuley High School and we are pleased to have her this session to work with our 5th grade team.  Lynne will be assisted by Laine Rousseau a sophomore DS at MND.

What to do now:  Have your daughter at the evaluation on March 13th at 4:30.  If you are going to miss a practice it is not necessary to call but we'd like to hear from you if you must miss more than 1 in a row.  We take teams in 16 player groups because we know players will be sick or have other commitments from time to time.  We'd like to have at least 12-14 players at each practice for scrimmage and drill purposes.  Players will receive team shirts during week 2.
